Tracking does not need to be complicated. A few notes each month can show you a lot.
What to record
- Period start and end dates to calculate your cycle and period length
- Mood and energy on a simple low, medium and high scale
- Symptoms such as cramps, bloating, headaches or cravings
- Sleep and exercise if you want to look for links
How to calculate your cycle length
Count from the first day of one period to the day before the next. Do this for three to six cycles, then take the average. The Tracker uses your average to estimate your phases.
Turning notes into patterns
After two or three cycles, look for repeats. You may notice that energy dips on certain days, headaches cluster before your period, or focus peaks in a particular week. Use those patterns to plan, and adjust as your cycle changes.
When tracking shows something unusual
Missed periods, cycles shorter than 21 days or longer than 35 days, very heavy bleeding, bleeding between periods or severe pain are worth discussing with a doctor.
Please note: This page is general wellbeing information, not medical advice. Cycles and bodies vary, and research on cycle syncing is still limited. If you have concerns about your periods or your health, please speak to a doctor.
